(With good sense of humor OK) Sorry, but I must say you have just scrambled it all Hans. I read and I picture THIS… wires crossing people tripping… just messy. This world is not ready to aknoledge the power of love. We can’t love ourselves properly, even the less & on the side love others properly. Add to the equation a third, a forth person.. how many? How many hands do I have? Oh shit yeah! No time, gotta go! Yes simultaneous love is acceptable a priori. But I’ve never seen any successful given case. It’s true that we can love in different ways, in all ways, in messed up ways, several people at a time, and is grrrrreat. But as to say we are all equals and capable of loving that big of a deal… just a few. Who’s to teach all the others how to love?

who wants to be a worm?

Very funny argument but
1) animals are no humans
2) respect for those people who believe that there is a deeper meaning in sexual exclusiveness.

We should be non judgemental in both directions.
To each is own

read, don't overinterprete.
i am not being jugdemental. saying monogamy is not natural does not mean we cannot choose for it. this article is exactly about empowerment - about making deliberate choices. if you choose monogamy, more power to you.

I consider this the best article you've written. Very thought-provoking for me, especially the part about how we evolved to serial monogamy, legalized divorce and homosexual marriage. I use it often in my argumentation for polyamory.

Keep up the good work ;)

Thanks for the kind words

Monogamy may not be natural, but it is what I WANT. I personally will NEVER accept polyamory and "free love"! Others may choose to follow that path but I stubbornly refuse.

If a mom has 14 kids...will she love them all the same?

what if you have 14 lovers?
even islam said that no man will be able to be faif in love with more than 4 women simultaneously...

what is your number ?
